Richard A. Jackson, MD

Dr. Jackson, founder of Dominion Medical Associates, Inc. has over 35 years of experience as a board certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Critical Care. A native Richmonder, Dr. Jackson follows in the footsteps of his late father Dr. Reginald Jackson, and his grandfather and co-founder of Richmond Community Hospital, Dr. Isaiah Jackson in continuing to serve the historic Jackson Ward community. Dr. Jackson completed both his internship and residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. after receiving his medical degree in 1977 from Howard University Medical College. During his studies, Dr. Jackson was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Jackson has served on numerous boards including Richmond Community Hospital and Howard University Medical College. He is a frequent lecturer and works with medical students at the Medical College of Virginia. He is a professional affiliate of the National Medical Association and National Board of Medical Examiners.

Tasha B. Dickerson, MD

Dr. Dickerson is a board-certified family practitioner who joined Dominion Medical Associates, Inc. in 2005. Dr. Dickerson completed her residency at Hanover Family Physicians in Virginia after completion of a year long internship at the Medical College of Virginia. While in her residency, Dr. Dickerson was appointed as Chief Resident. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 2001. She graduated with bachelor’s degree in biology from James Madison University in 1992 and then went on to earn a second bachelor’s in clinical laboratory science at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995. Dr Dickerson is a professional affiliate of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Damian L. Covington, MD

Dr. Covington is a board certified family practitioner who joined Dominion Medical Associates, Inc. in 2004. A native of Washington,D.C., Dr. Covington chose the medical field to make a difference. He truly enjoys serving in historic Jackson Ward because of its resemblance to his hometown, Anacostia, the southeastern part of the District of Columbia. Dr. Covington completed his residency at Hanover Family Physicians in Virginia after completion of a year long internship at the Medical College of Virginia. He received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1999. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Hampton University in 1991. Dr. Covington is a professional affiliate of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the National Health Services Corps. Currently, Dr. Covington serves as Vice-President of the Medical Executive Community of Bon Secour Richmond Community Hospital. Outside of his practice, Dr. Covington enjoys sports and spending time with his family and friends. He gives back by speaking to local ministries about different health issues.
